The young prospect was overjoyed to net in pre-season in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/match-coverage\/five-things-learned-as-manchester-united-beat-bournemouth-4-1-in-pre-season-clash\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">4-1 win against Bournemouth<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking after the friendly win in the USA, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/match-coverage\/ethan-williams-reacts-after-scoring-first-man-utd-goal-has-clear-plan-for-2025-26-season\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Williams admitted he was stunned<\/a> to get on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n<p>He told MUTV: \u201cYeah it\u2019s mad, it\u2019s mad\u2026 I can\u2019t believe it. Rasmus Hojlund, Patrick Dorgu and Amad scored the first three goals.<\/p>\n<p>The strike was the first from a Manchester United <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/club\/manchester-united-academy-team\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">academy<\/a> player this pre-season, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/match-coverage\/five-things-learned-as-manchester-united-beat-west-ham-2-1\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bruno Fernandes scoring the goals<\/a> in the preceding game.<\/p>\n<p>There is a good buzz about Ruben Amorim\u2019s side right now, and Williams\u2019 goal adds to it. He is making a name for himself, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/news\/manager-claimed-man-utd-wonderkid-could-make-immediate-impact-for-ruben-amorim-hes-just-proved-him-right\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">backing claims from his former loan boss<\/a> that he was good enough to make an impact.<\/p>\n<p>Chances will be more scarce due to a lack of European football, but Williams can be an impact player from the bench.
