{"id":529774,"date":"2026-03-18T00:40:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-18T00:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/529774\/"},"modified":"2026-03-18T00:40:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T00:40:07","slug":"scotty-pippen-jr-santi-aldama-have-season-ending-surgery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/529774\/","title":{"rendered":"Scotty Pippen Jr., Santi Aldama have season-ending surgery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mar 17, 2026, 07:33 PM ET<\/p>\n<p>MEMPHIS, Tenn. &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/team\/_\/name\/mem\/memphis-grizzlies\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> guard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/player\/_\/id\/4431785\/scotty-pippen-jr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Scotty Pippen Jr<\/a>. and forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/player\/_\/id\/4593125\/santi-aldama\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Santi Aldama<\/a> will miss the rest of the season after each had surgery on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Pippen had an operation on his right big toe and Aldama had a procedure and injection to address discomfort in his right knee. The team said both procedures were successful and the players will be ready for next season.<\/p>\n<p>The Grizzlies (23-44) have lost eight straight games and entered Tuesday night nine games back in the race for the final play-in berth in the Western Conference. Star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/player\/_\/id\/4279888\/ja-morant\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ja Morant<\/a> has played in only 20 games this season, missing the last 25 with a left elbow injury.<\/p>\n<p>Pippen had a similar procedure in October and didn&#8217;t make his season debut until last month.
