This creates a funny situation where Samsung (Electronics) will stop buying screens from Samsung (Display) for some mid-range devices, instead opting to purchase from CSOT, owned by TCL.<\/p>\n<p>CSOT&#8217;s panels are at least 20% cheaper than Samsung&#8217;s, and the move is speculated to be aimed at offsetting rising memory costs by lowering other device costs in the mid-range. Samsung has allegedly ordered 15 million display panels from CSOT, which will be used in the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/samsung_galaxy_a57_5g-14379.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Galaxy A57<\/a> as well as some unnamed upcoming FE handsets which are scheduled to begin production in April (Galaxy S26 FE?).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"799\" alt=\"Samsung Galaxy A56\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1773824590_446_gsmarena_001.jpg\"\/><br \/>\nSamsung Galaxy A56<\/p>\n<p>As you may expect, Samsung Display wasn&#8217;t very happy with this decision made by Samsung Electronics, and even appealed to higher-ups in the group to reverse it, but wasn&#8217;t successful.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-source\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelec.net\/news\/articleView.html?idxno=5883\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"According to a new report from Korea, Samsung is diversifying its display supply chain.
