Durand, who stepped into the roles of CEO and president for the New Britain-based long-term acute care facility last March, has stepped down from the post, hospital officials confirmed Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHospital for Special Care and Crista Durand mutually agreed to a leadership change, effective March 16,\u201d Ian Race, a hospital spokesperson, said in an email to Hartford Business Journal.<\/p>\n<p>Race said Lynn Ricci, who retired last year after serving as CEO since 2015, \u201cwill assume interim CEO duties while we search for a new leader.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Race added that the hospital thanks Durand \u201cfor her contributions to the organization and wish her the best in her future endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>No further explanation was offered as to what led to the decision to \u201cpart ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Durand, 55, arrived at HFSC after serving as CEO at Newport Hospital in Rhode Island for 10 years.
