She was slammed for performing on the date that coincided with her father’s 16th death anniversary<\/a>. On the sentimental day, Paris was on tour, but fans thought she should have sat it out. The “lighthouse” singer clapped back at the critics in an Instagram video update.<\/p>\n

“So people are mad again,” Paris said. “This time, I think, I guess one of the tour dates I’m supposed to be going out on tour with Incubus and Manchester Orchestra happens to be June 25, which is a very negative anniversary for me in my life and my family.”<\/p>\n

She further explained that it was impossible to skip out on committed dates, especially since she isn’t a headliner. Although Paris had to work, she paid tribute to her late father while on stage.<\/p>\n
