Ed Cooley and Georgetown are on the board in the 2026 class, picking up a commitment from power forward Justin Caldwell, who announced his decision on Friday via X.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n Caldwell, the 6-foot-9 forward out of Berean Baptist Academy (NC) and the Washington Warriors Adidas 3SSB AAU program, committed fresh off his official visit. He chose Georgetown over offers from programs like Maryland and NC State. <\/p>\n \u201cI chose coach Cooley, coach [Jeff] Battle, and Georgetown because I believe in their vision and trust their ability to develop me both on and off the court,\u201d Caldwell told ESPN\u2019s Paul Biancardi<\/a>. \u201cCoach Cooley\u2019s leadership and track record speak for themselves, and coach Battle has built a strong, honest relationship with me from the start. Georgetown felt like the right fit\u2014a place where I can grow, be challenged, and help bring success to the program.\u201d<\/p>\n This summer with the Washington Warriors, Caldwell averaged 13.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while shooting 45.5% from the field.
