They\u2019ve been selected to host the 2027 NBA All-Star Game\u00a0on Feb. 21, 2027,\u00a0at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>Ishbia played basketball from 1999-2002 at Michigan State University. He was a walk-on point guard at MSU after a stellar prep career at Birmingham Seaholm High School. The Spartans played in three Final Fours and won the NCAA national championship in 2000 when Ishbia was on the team.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ishbia played on Detroit basketball teams for three years at the JCC Maccabi Games before his Seaholm and Michigan State days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0 0 12px;\">The Detroit Jewish News has been supported by readers like you since 1942.
