On Friday, Netflix announced that New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/netflixsports\/status\/2035008461789135236?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">will be a \u201cspecial guest\u201d for the event<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, Winston played baseball at Florida State. His initial NFL contract with the Buccaneers <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/12816221\/tampa-bay-buccaneers-prohibit-jameis-winston-playing-pro-baseball\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">prevented him from playing baseball<\/a>. And he\u2019s a compelling TV presence \u2014 funny, entertaining, charismatic.<\/p>\n<p>Still, he doesn\u2019t come from the MLB ecosystem. Baseball aficionados will regard it as unusual to see him on the broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix doesn\u2019t seem to have an issue with unusual. This year\u2019s Christmas games included clunky in-game interviews with former NFL players.
