MILWAUKEE — The wait is officially over. The Milwaukee Bucks will once again don their Cream City jerseys this year.<\/p>\n
Last worn during the 2019-20 season, the jerseys had to be shelved because they conflicted with the digital advertisements that the NBA projects onto courts during games. The color of the jerseys is a bit too similar to the courts, so ads would phase through players’ bodies similar to when a meteorologist wears green in front of a green screen.<\/p>\n
It would seem that that Bucks have crafted a solution, and now the popular look will be making a triumphant return.<\/p>\n
The Cream City moniker is in reference to the cream-colored bricks that make up Milwaukee’s foundation. The jerseys also feature the Bucks’ green and blue striping that have become a team staple since the 2015 brand refresh.<\/p>\n
“This uniform embodies the history of Milwaukee and its \u2018Cream City\u2019 moniker with a design that celebrates the cream city bricks that our city was built with,” Bucks chief sales and marketing officer Dustin Godsey said. “The Cream City uniform has been a fan-favorite since its debut, and we\u2019re thrilled to see it back on the court this season.”<\/p>\n
Along with the return of the Cream City jerseys, the Bucks will also roll out a Cream City court for the new season. The court features Fiserv Forum’s coordinates at the center and a map of Milwaukee’s streets within the perimeter on each side of the court.<\/p>\n
