{"id":540769,"date":"2026-03-23T17:06:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-23T17:06:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/540769\/"},"modified":"2026-03-23T17:06:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T17:06:07","slug":"blues-sign-trudeau-to-two-year-entry-level-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/540769\/","title":{"rendered":"Blues sign Trudeau to two-year entry-level contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager\u00a0Doug Armstrong\u00a0announced today that the team has signed collegiate free agent forward\u00a0Felix Trudeau to a two-year entry-level contract beginning with the 2026-27 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trudeau will join the Blues\u2019 AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, on a professional tryout for the remainder of this season.<\/p>\n<p>Trudeau, 23, dressed in 39 games during his second season at Sacred Heart University (NCAA \u2013 AHA) this year. The 6-foot-2, 200\u2011pound forward shared sixth nationally with 48 points, while his 25 goals ranked second and his 12 power\u2011play goals led the country. For his efforts, the Terrebonne, Quebec, native was named the AHA\u2019s Player of the Year and earned a spot on the conference\u2019s First All\u2011Star Team.<\/p>\n<p>He was also recently announced as a Top 10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award (top NCAA men\u2019s hockey player).<\/p>\n<p>Last season,\u00a0Trudeau tallied 38 points (15 goals, 23 assists) and 64 penalty minutes during his first year at Sacred Heart, earning AHA Second All\u2011Conference Team honors.
