{"id":541714,"date":"2026-03-24T05:06:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T05:06:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/541714\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T05:06:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T05:06:14","slug":"thunders-jalen-williams-starts-in-victorious-return-vs-76ers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/541714\/","title":{"rendered":"Thunder&#8217;s Jalen Williams starts in victorious return vs. 76ers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2121703\" class=\"wp-image-2121703 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/GettyImages-2267621647-scaled-e1774317606966.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2423\" height=\"1370\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2121703\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Injuries have limited Jalen Williams to 27 games in 2025-26.<\/p>\n<p>Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams returned the team\u2019s lineup tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers, starting and scoring 18 points.<\/p>\n<p>Williams helped boost the Thunder to a 12th straight victory, by a score of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/game\/okc-vs-phi-0022501040\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">123-103<\/a>, after missing the last 16 games due to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/thunder-jalen-williams-hamstring-out\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hamstring injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last season, Williams was an All-Star, a third-team All-NBA selection and a second-team All-Defense pick who helped Oklahoma City win the championship.<\/p>\n<p>This season, Williams has been limited to 26 games because of a variety of injuries. He first injured his hamstring during the Thunder\u2019s Jan. 17 game against the\u00a0Heat, clutching his leg after attempting to grab an awkward pass in the second quarter. Williams was later ruled out and went on to miss 10 consecutive games.<\/p>\n<p>He missed the first 19 games of the season while\u00a0recovering from offseason wrist surgery to repair a torn ligament that plagued him during the franchise\u2019s run to the NBA title.<\/p>\n<p>Williams entered the game averaging 17.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game while shooting 47.9% overall.<\/p>\n<p>Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Injuries have limited Jalen Williams to 27 games in 2025-26.
