Saweetie<\/a> is back with some new music to set the stage for her long-awaited debut album. Her latest EP, Hella Pressure, is out now, bolstered by the singles \u201cBoffum\u201d<\/a> and TWICE collaboration \u201cSuperstars.\u201d The five-track EP features production from figures like LunchMoney Lewis, P2J, and Grammy winner J. White<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a small morsel to tide fans over as they await her first full-length project, first announced in 2020 as Pretty B***h Music. As time has gone on, however, Saweetie\u2019s ideas around her debut have shifted, to the point that she\u2019s considering ditching the title altogether.<\/p>\n

\u201cI honestly think that Pretty B***h Music has become a movement. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to be my album name anymore, but I\u2019m not sure yet,\u201d the rapper told Rolling Stone<\/a>. \u201cI think that when I first had birthed that idea, I liked the ring to it, so I\u2019m like, \u2018This is my album name.\u2019 But over the course of the years, I just feel like it\u2019s a lifestyle, it\u2019s an energy, it\u2019s a movement.\u201d<\/p>\n

Focusing on crafting a sustainable career for herself has been paramount after hitting the ground running nearly a decade ago. As for the delays that have kept the album from the public, Saweetie told Allure<\/a> last year that she\u2019s ensuring it\u2019s perfect before releasing it to the masses. \u201cTo me, music is sacred. It\u2019s coming from your spirit. You can\u2019t just go finish an album in a week,” she said. \u201cThat\u2019s why it\u2019s taking me so long.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, looking ahead after Hella Pressure\u2019s release, she\u2019s using the EP as a springboard into what\u2019s next, more empowered than ever.<\/p>\n

\u201cI acknowledge the fact that I took some time to create music,\u201d Saweetie confessed to Rolling Stone. \u201cNow that I\u2019m really gearing myself to go back out into the scene, this is my way of saying all that pressure just made me stronger.
