Jason Momoa<\/a> was forced to evacuate his home in Oahu, Hawaii, as the island state faces its worst flooding in 20 years.<\/a><\/p>\n

More than 2,000 people remained without power Sunday afternoon<\/a> after a storm prompted evacuation orders for 5,500 people north of Honolulu \u2014 though they were later lifted \u2014 and more than 200 people were rescued from the rising waters.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got my family with me. We got out of the North Shore… our power went off… We\u2019re safe for now, but there\u2019s a lot of people who weren\u2019t, so we\u2019re sending all our love,\u201d Momoa shared in a since-expired Instagram Story on Saturday, per People<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe North Shore is pretty gnarly right now. So hopefully everyone\u2019s safe and getting out… Stay safe out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oahu\u2019s iconic North Shore, famed for its big-wave surfing, was submerged under muddy floodwaters after heavy rains fell on soil already saturated by downpours from a winter storm a week ago. The deluge dislodged homes and vehicles, prompting evacuation orders for 5,500 residents north of Honolulu.<\/p>\n

Governor Josh Green stated the storm’s cost could top $1 billion, including damage to airports, schools, roads, people\u2019s homes and a Maui hospital in Kula.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is going to have a very serious consequence for us as a state,\u201d Green said at a news conference.<\/p>\n

Green said his chief of staff spoke to the White House and received assurances that the islands would have federal support.<\/p>\n

Momoa\u2019s band, \u00d6OF TATAT\u00c1, had been due to perform on O\u2018ahu over the weekend, but the group has since postponed the show.<\/p>\n

The actor also posted a video on Saturday showing him and his girlfriend, Adria Arjona, handing out meals from Hawaiian diner chain Zippy\u2019s to people who had lost their homes or were forced to evacuate.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese past weeks have been heavy. The storms, the flooding, the constant rain across O\u02bbahu have affected so many of our people, especially those already facing hardship,\u201d Momoa wrote his caption. \u201cSeeing families displaced, communities struggling, and our unhoused neighbors hit the hardest.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe spent time on the west side, just trying to show love, bring some food, and remind our community that we see you, we stand with you, and you\u2019re not alone,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Added Momoa: \u201cThat\u2019s what aloha is. It\u2019s showing up for each other when it matters most.\u201d<\/p>\n

Momoa, 46, and Arjona, 33, took their relationship public in May 2024.<\/p>\n

The Aquaman star was previously married to Lisa Bonet, 58, with whom he shares two children: Lola Iolani (16) and Nakoa-Wolf (15).<\/p>\n
