GHOSTFACE KILLAH \u2013 \u201cRAP KINGPIN\u201d<\/p>\n

Ghostface Killah\u2019s 2000 solo album Supreme Clientele is one of the best rap albums of all time, and now, 25 years later, it\u2019s getting a sequel. It comes out on August 22 via Nas\u2019 Mass Appeal as part of the label\u2019s Legend Has It\u2026 series<\/a> that also included the recent albums by Slick Rick and Ghostface\u2019s Wu-Tang Clan groupmate Raekwon (plus upcoming albums from Nas & DJ Premier, Mobb Deep, Big L, and De La Soul). Here\u2019s the lead single, which finds Ghostface in classic, trademark form.<\/p>\n

BLAKE MILLS & PINO PALLADINO \u2013 \u201cCONTOUR\u201d<\/p>\n

Blake Mills & Pino Palladino\u2019s new collaborative album, That Wasn\u2019t A Dream, will be out August 22 and here\u2019s another track from it. \u201cContour\u201d also features Abe Rounds and Sam Gendel. Groovy stuff.<\/p>\n

CARDIACS \u2013 \u201cWOODENEYE\u201d<\/p>\n

Cardiacs have revealed a release date for LSD<\/a>, their first album in over 25 years that\u2019s been in the works since before bandleader Tim Smith\u2019s 2020 death. It comes out on September 19 via Alphabet Business Concern, and it includes new single \u201cWoodeneye,\u201d which finds Cardiacs sounding as chaotic as ever. Also, the album has a few guest contributors, including Pinback\u2019s Rob Crow.<\/p>\n

REMA \u2013 \u201cKELEBU\u201d<\/p>\n

Nigerian pop star Rema has released his third single of the year, a maximalist, high-energy, danceable cut called \u201cKelebu.\u201d<\/p>\n

ABI REIMOLD \u2013 \u201cHIGH TIDE\u201d<\/p>\n

Philly indie singer\/songwriter Abi Reimold has released their first song in nine years, and it\u2019s a quiet, haunting indie folk song that has us excited to hopefully hear more new music.<\/p>\n

THE DARE \u2013 \u201cTAMBOURINE\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dare has been hosting Freakquencies parties in NYC for a while now and that\u2019s the inspiration for his new EP of the same name that will be out August 22. \u201cTamborine,\u201d a mostly instrumental, is the first single.<\/p>\n

ROC MARCIANO & DJ PREMIER \u2013 \u201cPRAYER HANDS\u201d<\/p>\n

Roc Marciano & DJ Premier\u2019s collaborative project The Coldest Profession has finally been officially announced and it comes out next week. Here\u2019s second single \u201cPrayer Hands,\u201d which you can read about here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
