Chappell Roan issued a new statement after her security guard made Jude Law\u2019s preteen daughter cry<\/a> \u2014 and doubled down on her innocence.<\/p>\n

\u201cChappell holds her own teams to the highest standards,\u201d a rep for the singer told Page Six in a statement Monday.<\/p>\n

The Grammy winner, 28, has \u201czero tolerance for aggressive behavior toward her or her fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

The spokesperson added, \u201cChappell was not aware of any interaction between this mother\/daughter and a third-party security office.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe did not see them at breakfast in her hotel, as she said in her video,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cShe did not direct her personal security or anyone on her team to interact with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roan insisted as much in an Instagram video posted over the weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just gonna tell my half of the story of what happened today with a mother and child who were involved with a security guard, who is not my personal security,\u201d the songwriter told her followers on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Roan claimed she \u201cdidn\u2019t even see a woman and child\u201d while having breakfast in her S\u00e3o Paulo hotel.<\/p>\n

She clarified that she does \u201cnot hate children\u201d and Ada, 11, \u201cdid not deserve\u201d what happened.<\/p>\n

The little one, notably, was approached by an \u201caggressive\u201d security guard after she \u201cpassed by the singer\u2019s table, looked over to confirm it was her, smiled and went back to the table with her mom,\u201d according to her stepfather \u2014 and Brazilian soccer star \u2014 Jorginho Frello.<\/p>\n

The athlete, 34, wrote that Ada \u201cgot super scared and cried a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her mother, Catherine Harding, challenged Roan<\/a> in a lengthy Instagram video on Sunday, one day after her husband called the performer out on his Story.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Harding\u2019s husband slammed Roan over making Ada \u201csuper scared.\u201d Instagram\/catcavelli\/<\/p>\n

Roan insisted Sunday that she does \u201cnot hate children.\u201d chappellroan, \/instagram<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that you have a responsibility when you are a celebrity to make sure, I guess, that the people who work for you and act on your behalf are acting on your behalf,\u201d she pointed out.<\/p>\n

Harding, who welcomed Ada in 2015 with Law, noted, \u201cWould he do that if he didn\u2019t have that authority to do so? I don\u2019t know. If he does, then obviously, that\u2019s a big problem because then he\u2019s representing her in a way she doesn\u2019t want to be represented.\u201d<\/p>\n
