Alexandra Eala continues to shine as one of the most popular players in all of tennis right now.<\/p>\n

Eala<\/a> has enjoyed a sudden rise up the rankings over the past year, which all started after her run to the Miami Open<\/a> semifinals last year.<\/p>\n

She has gone from strength to strength since then, with Eala consistently supported by Filipino fans<\/a> at every tournament she plays at.<\/p>\n

Coco Gauff<\/a> is one of the most popular players on the WTA<\/a> Tour, but even she has admitted Eala may be the number one.<\/p>\n

Coco Gauff and Iva Jovic suggest Alexandra Eala would sell the most jerseys<\/p>\n

A number of players from both the ATP<\/a> and WTA Tours have spoken to Overtime Tennis<\/a> across the sunshine double of Indian Wells and the Miami Open.<\/p>\n

These players have been asked which tennis players would have the highest selling jersey if that was something that tennis players had.<\/p>\n

While Gauff named herself to begin with, she then admitted that Eala would probably sell even more than her.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlex Eala,\u201d said Gauff. \u201cShe has a huge fanbase, she actually would be number one probably.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gauff also named world number one Aryna Sabalenka<\/a>, but she was not the only player to pick Eala.<\/p>\n

World number 17 Iva Jovic, who is one of Eala\u2019s closest friends<\/a> on tour, also spoke about the Filipina\u2019s popularity.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlex Eala, because so many fans,\u201d answered Jovic<\/a>. \u201cSo many Filipinos show up, I love it, I think it\u2019s great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eala and Gauff are clearly two of the most popular players on the WTA Tour, and in all of tennis right now.<\/p>\n

One of the biggest ways to track someone\u2019s popularity in the modern day is by social media followers, which is a race that Gauff actually leads.<\/p>\n

Gauff has a total of 2.3million followers on Instagram, while Eala trails behind with 1million followers.<\/p>\n

Eala has significantly bridged this gap over the past year, and her popularity does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon.<\/p>\n

There is also no sense of rivalry between the two players, with Eala and Gauff both praising one another after playing singles against each other and doubles alongside one another over the past year.<\/p>\n
