\n\tIf you\u2019re \u201cthirty, flirty and thriving,\u201d know all the moves to Michael Jackson\u2019s \u201cThriller\u201d dance or are just a big fan of Razzles, it\u2019s major news that Netflix is rebooting the rom-com classic \u201c13 Going on 30<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tOriginal star Jennifer Garner<\/a> \u2014 who played Jenna Rink, the awkward teenager magically transported into her 30-year-old life as a high-powered, but messy, magazine editor \u2014 is on board to executive produce the movie, starring Emily Bader and Logan Lerman<\/a>. The film will be directed by Brett Haley, who most recently helmed Netflix\u2019s adaptation of Emily Henry\u2019s \u201cPeople We Met On Vacation,\u201d starring Bader. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c13 Going on 30 is one of those rare, perfect films. Funny, emotional, deeply human, with unforgettable performances from Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer,\u201d said Haley. [Ruffalo played Matt, Jenna\u2019s geeky best friend and eventual soulmate, while Greer was Jenna\u2019s lifelong frenemy, Lucy.] \u201cI\u2019m a longtime fan, so stepping into this reimagining comes with tremendous responsibility. Jennifer Garner being on board as an executive producer, after playing such a big part of what made the original special, is especially meaningful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHaley also expressed his excitement about reuniting with Bader, adding that \u201cshe and the amazingly talented Logan Lerman are a magical pairing. I feel incredibly lucky to be trusted with something that means so much to so many people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing the success of \u201cPeople We Met on Vacation,\u201d which spent four weeks on Netflix\u2019s global Top 10 movies list and reached the top 10 in 92 countries, Bader was tapped to star in the streamer\u2019s upcoming sports drama \u201cThe 99\u2019ers.\u201d Bader will portray U.S. women\u2019s soccer legend Mia Hamm in the movie, which chronicles the lead-up to the team\u2019s historic 1999 World Cup victory. <\/p>\n

\n\tLerman\u2019s decades-long filmography (\u201cPercy Jackson and the Olympians,\u201d \u201cThe Perks of Being a Wallflower,\u201d \u201cWe Were the Lucky Ones\u201d) most recently includes starring in the dark comedy \u201cOh, Hi!,\u201d directed by Sophie Brooks, and on the fifth season of Hulu\u2019s \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.<\/p>\n

\n\tBader is repped by CAA, Untitled Entertainment, Viewpoint and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher; Lerman is repped by UTA, Brillstein, & Viewpoint; and Haley is repped by WME, Untitled and McKuin Frankel Whitehead. <\/p>\n

\n\tBader will direct from a screenplay by Hannah Marks (\u201cMark, Mary, & Some Other People\u201d; \u201cAfter Everything\u201d) with revisions by Flora Greeson (\u201cThe Princess Diaries 3,\u201d \u201cThe High Note\u201d). The logline for the movie is being kept under wraps. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c13 Going on 30\u201d will be produced by Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum for RK Films. In addition to Garner, executive producers include Donna Roth and Susan Arnold; Scott Hemming (for Revolution Studios); Alyssa Altman (for RK Films); and Marks.<\/p>\n
