Liverpool are working overtime to find a replacement for Mohamed Salah, and want to bring Michael Olise back to the Premier League, according to Caught Offside.

The Reds revealed on Tuesday night that they had found an agreement with the legendary Egyptian winger to bring his contract to an end a year early at Anfield, allowing him to move on for free in return for his £400,000-a-week wages to come off the books.

Now work is underway to find a replacement for him ahead of next season, and the former Crystal Palace star has emerged as the man they want more than anyone else.

Liverpool Want Michael Olise

Olise, who has been described as ‘Europe’s best player’, has had a remarkable campaign at Bayern this season, registering a stunning 16 goals and 22 assists in all competitions for the Bundesliga giants under Vincent Kompany.

The France international has already shone in the Premier League in his career during a stint with Crystal Palace, and with the right-wing position now up for grabs on Merseyside, it’s understood that Liverpool are ready to make a push to bring him back to England.

“Liverpool are working overtime to get a marquee signing to replace Salah,” a source told them.

“They’d love to get Michael Olise, and although at Bayern’s end there’s no indication that they’re even open to listening to offers, Liverpool feel they might be able to tempt the player back to the Premier League.”

With Bayern unlikely to be open to a sale, Liverpool would likely need to make a record that exceeds the £125m they spent on Alexander Isak last summer.

Superstar Olise Would Be Perfect Salah Replacement

Liverpool already have a star-studded attack with Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, and Florian Wirtz, but Anfield has been Salah’s playground for so long that they were in his shadow this season.

Now that he is moving on, you’re likely to see more from all of them, but a natural right-winger is needed for balance, which is where Olise comes in. He has got one of the best left foots in the world, has unbelievable trickery to beat his opponents and also has the output levels needed to replace such a legendary forward.

GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT to rank the top five players who could replace Salah at Liverpool, and this was its response:

Bukayo Saka – Elite output, two-way work rate, Premier League-proven

Lamine Yamal – Generational talent, explosive creativity, high ceiling

Michael Olise – Creative, productive, tactically intelligent

Rodrygo – Versatile, big-game impact, elite movement

Phil Foden – Technical, goal threat, system-flexible.
