MADISON, Wis. \u2013 A planned debate between the two candidates for an open seat on the Wisconsin State Supreme Court will not take place as scheduled this evening, as one of the candidates has fallen ill.<\/p>\n

Representatives for Judge Chris Taylor say she is unable to participate in the debate that was to take place at Marquette University in Milwaukee between herself and Judge Maria Lazar, according to a release from her campaign team.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis morning Judge Taylor visited urgent care after waking up feeling unwell. Physicians then recommended she visit the hospital for additional evaluation,\u201d read the release March 25. \u201cWhile she is unable to participate in tonight\u2019s debate, we look forward to rescheduling and finding an opportunity for voters to hear from both candidates before Election Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both campaigns and debate organizers are working to reschedule the event; early voting for the spring race has already begun in Milwaukee<\/a> ahead of Election Day April 7th.<\/p>\n
