The Golden State Warriors<\/a> are back in action on Wednesday night in a home game against the Brooklyn Nets<\/a>. However, they are still missing the services of former back-to-back NBA<\/a> Most Valuable Player Steph Curry<\/a> as he continues to nurse a lingering knee injury. In fact, the Warriors have yet to provide a firm timetable on Curry\u2019s return to action.<\/p>\n

The last time Curry was on the court for the Warriors was on Jan. 30. He was diagnosed with patella-femoral pain syndrome<\/a> and bone bruising in his right knee, which has forced him to spend nearly two months on the sidelines.<\/p>\n

The Warriors earlier indicated that they expect Curry to return in March. However, with less than a week remaining in the month, it now appears that the 38-year-old will not meet this target.<\/p>\n

Head coach Steve Kerr spoke to reporters ahead of Wednesday\u2019s game against the Nets, and he provided an update on Curry\u2019s status. Unfortunately, it appears that the 12-time All-Star has suffered a setback in his recovery.<\/p>\n

Kerr announced that Curry has not yet been able to scrimmage<\/a> for the Warriors. The expectation from the team was to have Curry do some live work<\/a> over the past few days, but Kerr\u2019s latest update indicates that this has not been the case.<\/p>\n

Kerr added that they will provide another update on Curry later this week.<\/p>\n

The Warriors are taking an understandably cautious approach to the health of their cornerstone superstar. At this point, Curry still has to get past a few hurdles before he gets the clearance to return.<\/p>\n

It is important to note that after Wednesday\u2019s game, Golden State will have just nine games left in the regular season. As of writing, they are 10th in the Western Conference with a 34-38 record. The Warriors are 1.5 games behind the ninth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers<\/a>.<\/p>\n
