The four-time MVP spoke with Vogue about how the greater emphasis on players\u2019 personal style changed how she arrives at arenas.<\/p>\n \u201cTunnel \u2019fits changed our whole league,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cIt brought a different audience and set of eyes to us.\u201d<\/p>\n Before the tunnel looks became their own segment, Wilson opted to focus on her on-court performance. <\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s plenty of times where I\u2019ve told my stylist, \u2018I ain\u2019t doing this. I need to pour into this scouting report before I put on a pair of heels,’\u201d shared the 6-foot-4 power forward.<\/p>\n However, she began to change her perspective, especially on one element of women\u2019s fashion, the high heel. Now, Wilson looks at the pair of heels as an empowering way to showcase her femininity as a professional athlete.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople should understand how powerful it is to walk into a game in heels, crush it, and put those heels back on. That is so powerful,\u201d she said, while adding, \u201cThat is women, and I love that for us.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilson has grown in fashion circles as she has within the WNBA. Now a member of this year\u2019s MET Gala host committee, she continues to pave the way for style in women\u2019s sports. Her advocacy for women athletes to feel confident and beautiful extends even to the locker room. She made sure the Aces\u2019 Locker Rooms had plenty of mirrors so players could look their best as they seek another championship.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was like, \u2018What do you want the locker room to look like?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Mirrors.\u00a0It should look like a glam room,\u201d she recalled of her conversation with team owner Mark Davis. We need spots for our own treatments. We need everything.\u201d<\/p>\n While Wilson loves a good high-heeled shoe, another shoe also has the 29-year-old\u2019s heart, her sneaker line with Nike. Currently known for how she struts on and off the court, Wilson has big plans for her ongoing collaboration with the athletic brand. They plan to drop the A\u2019Twos, an upgrade from her 2025 A\u2019Ones, this May.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m going to do my job, which is making the shoe look good,\u201d she joked with the publication. \u201cI have an opportunity to sit at a table at Nike, one of the biggest companies in the world, and they\u2019re asking me, \u2018What do you want?\u2019\u2005\u2018Oh, Imma tell you what I want! And we\u2019re gonna see if we can do it.\u2019\u2005\u201d<\/p>\n Now, with a fashionista\u2019s dream role<\/a> at the MET Gala alongside her style icon, fellow event co-chair Beyonc\u00e9, the trailblazing WNBA star has stepped into a monumental 2026. <\/p>\n
