In the spring, my fancy turns to thoughts of deep cleaning. <\/p>\n

I keep my home highly organized year round and am committed to a regular weekly cleaning schedule, but something about that first burst of spring air makes me start clearing out closets and soaking window screens. <\/p>\n

Though as much as I love the feeling of a fresh home, I hate figuring out how to tackle it all. That\u2019s why this year I\u2019m using these Android apps to help me declutter and clean. <\/p>\n

Sweepy<\/p>\n

I can take cleaning room by room, one step at a time with Sweepy<\/a>. After selecting a room in my home, I customize a list of tasks, building on suggestions from Sweepy. For each task, I can select how often it should be done and add a reminder. Every task is automatically given a rating for how much effort it takes, and on days when I don\u2019t have too much time or energy, I can sort to find the easiest, fastest ones to accomplish, maximizing what I get done. <\/p>\n

Laundry Symbols<\/p>\n

Deciphering hieroglyphics without a degree in Egyptology can be easier than trying to figure out what those symbols on laundry tags mean. Laundry Symbols<\/a> explains it all and even has a full guide to doing laundry. All I have to do is click on one of four categories (washing, bleaching, drying, ironing) to find out just what those pictographs mean. <\/p>\n

Swappa<\/p>\n

One of the hardest things for me to get rid of is electronics. They generally serve me well in the process of testing tech but every once in a while I have to evaluate what I have and sell off what\u2019s no longer useful. When I need to get rid of tablets, laptops, headphones, smart speakers, and the like, I use Swappa<\/a>. It\u2019s a fast and easy process of clicking my way through the system and I pay only 3% of what I get to Swappa. <\/p>\n

Taskrabbit<\/p>\n

If there are some things around the house that you can\u2019t manage on your own for whatever reason, you can turn to Taskrabbit<\/a>. I\u2019ve used the app to find people to hang art, assemble furniture, and even take away a huge haul of things to donate to Goodwill. I appreciate that I can read reviews for Taskrabbits in my area and then handle all communications as well as payment right in the app. <\/p>\n

Pocket Casts<\/p>\n

I would not be able to get through cleaning anything without the constant background sound of a podcast. Pocket Casts<\/a> is my app of choice.
