Alexander Zverev<\/a> set a semi-final meeting with Jannik Sinner<\/a> at the Miami Open presented by Itau<\/a> on Thursday when he earned a resounding 6-1, 6-2 win against Francisco Cerundolo<\/a>. <\/p>\n The victory marks the first time that the 27-year-old has reached the last four in Indian Wells and Miami in the same season.<\/p>\n \u201cTomorrow will be the toughest test,\u201d Zverev said after advancing to his 25th ATP Masters 1000 semi-final. \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to it. I\u2019ve been feeling quite well, and hopefully it\u2019ll continue.\u201d<\/p>\n Zverev never relinquished control throughout the one-hour, five-minute match. The two-time Nitto ATP Finals<\/a> champion landed 76 per cent (32\/46) of his first serves and won 84 per cent (27\/32) of those points, according to Infosys ATP Stats. He also won four of the seven break points he earned. <\/p>\n With the quarter-final victory, the German notched his fourth consecutive win against the Argentine, earning a 4-3 lead in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series. Zverev has found an edge against Cerundolo this season, sweeping him in straight sets at the Australian Open<\/a> and again in Miami. The Argentine has not won more than four games in any of those sets.<\/p>\n The third seed will now turn his focus to his semi-final clash with Sinner, looking to respond after his straight-sets loss to the Italian in Indian Wells earlier this month. Sinner leads 7-4 in their rivalry, having won each of their past six encounters.<\/p>\n Zverev, however, has been in strong and consistent form in South Florida. He has not faced a single break point in three of four matches this tournament and will look to maintain that level against Sinner, who has now won 30 consecutive sets at the ATP Masters 1000 level.<\/p>\n \u201cIf it pays off fast, it\u2019s even better,\u201d Zverev said of his new, more aggressive playing style. \u201cI was planning on struggling a little bit, but I\u2019m feeling well on the court.\u201d<\/p>\n
