\n\tAs The Boys<\/a> fans prepare for the beginning of the end, don\u2019t expect the show to end in a big bloody battle royale.<\/p>\n

\n\tCreator and showrunner Eric Kripke<\/a> recently teased what he hopes will be a \u201ccathartic and emotionally satisfying\u201d conclusion to the Amazon Prime series, despite not having \u201cGame of Thrones\u2019 budget\u201d for a massive finale.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s just a totally transformed world,\u201d he told SFX Magazine<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s Homelander\u2019s world and, unfortunately, we\u2019re all living in it. Starlight is mounting a desperate resistance, but The Boys are scattered. Frenchie, Mother\u2019s Milk and Hughie have been captured. We talked a lot about the French Resistance and prison camp breaks. We were really working our way through that kind of season.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKripke continued, \u201cI mean, there are not full battle scenes because we still don\u2019t have Game of Thrones\u2018 budget, but there are a lot of very direct confrontations; a lot of the people that you want to see smashing into each other smash into each other. I hope it\u2019s cathartic and emotionally satisfying, but I\u2019m a tiny bit terrified.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the fifth and final season of The Boys, premiering April 8 on Prime Video<\/a>, the world completely subject to Homelander\u2019s (Antony Starr) erratic, egomaniacal whims. With Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother\u2019s Milk (Laz (Alonso) and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) are imprisoned in a \u2018Freedom Camp\u2019, Annie (Erin Moriarty) struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) is nowhere to be found. But when Butcher (Karl Urban) reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrime\u2019s college spin-off Gen V recently concluded its second season, which sets up The Boys finale, and the animated The Boys Presents: Diabolical is not likely to get a second season.
