A former FBI agent has revealed that Savannah Guthrie<\/a>\u2018s emotional interview will leave her mom\u2019s suspected abductor \u201cterrified,\u201d as it brings back national attention to the case.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTODAY\u201d show host broke down during the interview as she detailed the \u201cunbearable\u201d agony she and her family members have been going through in light of Nancy Guthrie<\/a>\u2018s disappearance.<\/p>\n

Sheriff Officer Chris Nanos has stated that investigations are still on and that they \u201chave good evidence\u201d with them, despite public outrage over how the department has handled the search.<\/p>\n

Former FBI agent Jason Pack explained that Savannah\u2019s moving interview with Hoda Kotb is sure to send a message of unease to her mom, Nancy Guthrie\u2019s captors.<\/p>\n

In a clip of the interview, a visibly shaken Savannah was moved to tears as she weighed in on the emotional toll the incident had had on her and her family.<\/p>\n

This left Pack to suggest the abductor must be uneasy as it has managed to bring more eyeballs to the mysterious case.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis interview doesn\u2019t hurt the investigation. What it does is keep Nancy\u2019s name in the news at the exact moment national attention starts to drift. The whole country has been praying for this family,\u201d the expert told Page Six<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cEvery time Savannah speaks, somebody sitting on information hopefully gets a little closer to picking up the phone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ex-FBI Agent Says Nancy Guthrie\u2019s Abductors \u2018Have Been Scared For Two Months\u2019<\/p>\n

The 84-year-old matriarch has been missing since February 1 after she was absent from a church service.<\/p>\n

Investigators stormed her Tucson, Arizona home in search of evidence that could help find her and retrieved some DNA samples that don\u2019t belong to her.<\/p>\n

An arrest is yet to be made, nor have law enforcement come up with any viable leads. However, that may not be for long.<\/p>\n

According to the former FBI agent, Pack, Nancy\u2019s abductor now has \u201cthe FBI, a million-dollar reward, and the entire country looking for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my experience, suspects who have done something like this are usually terrified. They have been scared for two months,\u201d he shared. \u201cEvery knock on the door. Every slow-moving car. They are waiting on that one tip that leads law enforcement straight to their doorstep and finally tells the world what happened to Miss Nancy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The law enforcement expert then described Savannah as a \u201cdaughter who loves her mother.\u201d<\/p>\n

This has been evident in light of her mom\u2019s disappearance, as she appeared in several social media videos pleading for anyone with information that can help in the case to come forward.<\/p>\n

She also announced an increase in the reward fee from then $500,000 to $1 million.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t necessarily a law-enforcement strategy,\u201d Pack said of Savannah\u2019s interview with Kotb. \u201cThis is what grief looks like.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cIt\u2019s a family carrying something too heavy to hold alone, and a woman who decided she was done holding it in silence. Think about who she chose to sit down with. Hoda Kotb. Her friend. Her colleague. Someone she trusts with her life. Savannah didn\u2019t walk into a press conference.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe walked into a safe space and let herself be human. That\u2019s what grief looks like when it finally gets room to breathe,\u201d the former FBI agent added.<\/p>\n

In her chat with Kotb, Savannah explained that her family is going through \u201cunbearable\u201d agony in light of her mom\u2019s disappearance.<\/p>\n

The TV personality unsuccessfully fought back tears as she pleaded for her mom\u2019s safe release.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are in agony. It is unbearable,\u201d she said in a clip, per the New York Post<\/a>. \u201cAnd to think of what she went through, I wake up every night, in the middle of the night, every night, and in the darkness, I imagine her terror, and it is unthinkable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe needs to come home now,\u201d Savannah added.<\/p>\n

Savannah Guthrie Is Still Holding Out Hope For Her Mother\u2019s Release\"Savannah<\/p>\n

In a previous social media post, Savannah and her two siblings shared that they\u2019re still hopeful that someone out there with information about their mother would speak up.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone knows something. It\u2019s possible a member of this community has information that they do not even realize is significant. We hope people search their memories, especially around the key timelines of January 31 and the early morning hours of February 1, as well as the late evening of January 11,\u201d they said in the statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe desperately ask this community for renewed attention to our mom\u2019s case \u2013 please consult camera footage, journal notes, text messages, observations, or conversations that in retrospect may hold significance,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n

Savannah and her loved ones further noted that they won\u2019t be able to grieve peacefully until Nancy is found: \u201cOur focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home. We want to celebrate her beautiful and courageous life. But we cannot do that until she is brought to a final place of rest.\u201d<\/p>\n
