This quick guide will show you how it works.<\/p>\n<p>AirDrop isn\u2019t some new concept, but it\u2019s always been a point of contention between Android and iOS users. Much like RCS and iMessage, the disconnect has overshadowed the ease of use provided by some of these better tools. Since Google began rolling out <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2026\/02\/17\/quick-share-airdrop-pixel-9\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">support for its own Pixel phones<\/a>, Android has started <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2026\/03\/26\/samsung-galaxy-s26-airdrop\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">expanding the feature<\/a> to Samsung\u2019s devices starting with the Galaxy S26 lineup.<\/p>\n<p>AirDrop for Galaxy works in the same way it does for iPhone, minus one small caveat. In almost every regard, it functions reliably and even faster than other OEM options from Windows and the like. It doesn\u2019t require an extra app or any workarounds. It just operates through the Quick Share menu.<\/p>\n<p>And because Android\u2019s newfound AirDrop support doesn\u2019t bring any weird roadblocks, it works for MacBooks, too.<\/p>\n<p>\tAdvertisement &#8211; scroll for more content<\/p>\n<p>Samsung enables the function by default in the new update, but it can be turned off in settings. Once the phone is set to recieve from everyone, they\u2019ll see a notification with the option to accept your shared file. Hitting Accept finishes the process.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1024\" width=\"472\" data-id=\"709690\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AirDrop-Galaxy-S26-how-to-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-709690\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"327\" height=\"709\" data-id=\"709696\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/AirDrop-Galaxy-S26-how-to-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-709696\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>For the time being, this feature is limited to the Galaxy S26.
