The Young and the Restless\u2019 Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has been off the canvas for weeks now. Despite Mariah keeping a massive secret from her family, the character was put on the back burner while the CBS soap focused on the characters in France.<\/p>\n

Now that the France storyline has wrapped up, the show is slowly shifting back to what happened with Mariah. After all, the last time we saw her was when fans learned she had smothered an unnamed old man during a business trip, and it is haunting her.<\/p>\n

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has been on-screen as she bonds with Daniel (Michael Graziadei) over Mariah walking out on her and their daughter. The fact that Mariah is once again off-screen raises the question of the character leaving the show.<\/p>\n

While neither The Young and the Restless<\/a> nor Grimes has commented on Mariah\u2019s future in Genoa City, fans shouldn\u2019t be worried that she\u2019s leaving. Mariah is often on the back burner, even in the middle of hot-button storylines, and this is no exception.<\/p>\n

Grimes has no plans to leave the CBS soap. The actress did that already when Cassie was killed off, only to return as Cassie\u2019s long-lost twin, Mariah, years later.<\/p>\n

Speaking with Women\u2019s World<\/a> in June, Grimes teased she\u2019s ready for fans to see what happens next with Mariah and Tessa as this storyline plays out into the fall.<\/p>\n

She also admitted she hopes to be working on Y&R for the foreseeable future. \u201cI hope I can continue to entertain you and bring you stories that you love to watch. That\u2019s my goal,\u201d Grimes spilled.<\/p>\n
