The White House and President Donald Trump want everyone to know that they really love farmers. They care about farmers. Sure, his trade war with China during his last term<\/a> hammered farmers immensely, and his now-deemed-illegal tariffs<\/a> and economic polices this time around are doing a lot of damage to farmers, too. But don\u2019t worry about that! Instead, look at this AI-generated Animal Crossing slop.<\/p>\n

On March 27, the official White House account on Twitter posted an AI-generated short video<\/a> depicting a digital President Trump declaring \u201cMake Farming Great Again!\u201d before running out of his office and into a very Animal Crossing-like setting, complete with cozy animal villagers. The video ends with a logo that is clearly a modified Animal Crossing logo with the message \u201cNational Agriculture Week \u2013 Thank You, Farmers!\u201d slapped on it.<\/p>\n

A minute later, the official White House account shared an image<\/a> of Donald Trump\u2019s Animal Crossing-like avatar hanging out with actual Animal Crossing characters. This image appears to be a modified version of this official promo art<\/a>, but now it includes Trump and that ugly modified logo from the video, this time with a new message added: \u201cMake Farming Great Again!\u201d\u00a0 It seems the image was modified using both AI and Photoshop to combine and tweak elements, like a farm in the background.<\/p>\n

These posts follow Trump gathering hundreds of farmers at the White House on Friday to celebrate the $12 billion<\/a> in support his administration is providing<\/a>. He failed to mention that the reason many farmers are struggling is because of his idiotic trade wars and tariffs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s history of using video games in propaganda posts <\/p>\n

This is not the first time President Trump and his goons have used video games for online propaganda and marketing. We\u2019ve seen Trump\u2019s team use Halo and Pok\u00e9mon music and imagery before to try to rally support for ICE\u2019s horrific assaults and deportations of immigrants<\/a>, even alluding to these people being parasites<\/a> like the Flood found in the Halo franchise. Earlier this month, the White House posted a video featuring a Call of Duty kill streak animation<\/a> to celebrate its deadly and costly war with Iran. That post was later deleted.<\/p>\n

On March 5, the Pok\u00e9mon Company officially responded<\/a> after Trump used a Pokopia meme to push his \u201cMake America Great Again\u201d slogan.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are aware of recent social content that includes imagery associated with our brand,\u201d a Pok\u00e9mon Company spokeswoman told The New York Times. \u201cWe were not involved in its creation or distribution, and no permission was granted for the use of our intellectual property. Our mission is to bring the world together, and that mission is not affiliated with any political viewpoint or agenda.\u201d The company shared a similar message in September 2024 about a DHS video featuring the Pok\u00e9mon theme song<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In an October 2025 interview with Game File<\/a>,\u00a0Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto called the post \u201cabsolutely abhorrent\u201d and added, \u201cIt really makes me sick seeing\u00a0Halo\u00a0co-opted like this.\u201d<\/p>\n
