Now, according to Business Insider, the remaining two co-founders, Manuel Kroiss and Ross Nordeen, have left as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BI said on Wednesday that Kroiss had <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/manuel-kroiss-xai-cofounder-departure-elon-musk-2026-3\" target=\"_blank\">told people that he\u2019s leaving xAI<\/a>, then reported that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/xai-cofounder-ross-nordeen-leaves-musk-preps-spacex-ipo-2026-3\" target=\"_blank\">Nordeen left the company on Friday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Musk recently claimed xAI \u201cwas not built right [the] first time around,\u201d so it\u2019s now \u201cbeing rebuilt from the foundations up.\u201d The company was recently <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/02\/02\/elon-musk-spacex-acquires-xai-data-centers-space-merger\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">acquired by Musk\u2019s SpaceX<\/a>, bringing SpaceX, xAI, and X (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1HLmG4gNHudBdAtdexteHVlGXy3Gq2fUn8GqabyB5cpM\/edit?tab=t.0\" target=\"_blank\">formerly Twitter<\/a>) together under one corporate umbrella, all as SpaceX is reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/30\/spacexs-ipo-could-open-the-floodgates-and-secondaries-are-booming-in-the-meantime\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">planning to go public<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kroiss and Nordeen both reported directly to Musk, according to BI, with Kroiss leading the company\u2019s pretraining team, while Nordeen was Musk\u2019s \u201cright-hand operator.\u201d Nordeen reportedly came to xAI from Tesla, and was involved in planning major layoffs at Twitter after Musk acquired the company in 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TechCrunch has reached out to xAI for comment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Earlier this month, it looked like all but two of Elon Musk\u2019s 11 co-founders at his AI startup&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":524612,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[27],"tags":[28,11,245143,245142,1513,4119],"class_list":["post-551056","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-business","tag-business","tag-elon-musk","tag-manuel-kroiss","tag-ross-nordeen","tag-spacex","tag-xai"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/551056","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=551056"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/551056\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/524612"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=551056"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=551056"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=551056"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
