Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Liverpool \u2018sent a clear message\u2019 to Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak with four points earlier this week.<\/p>\n
The Reds have been very active in the summer transfer window with Liverpool bringing in four big-name signings in Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitike<\/a>.<\/p>\n And Liverpool<\/a> have spotted another opportunity to add to their squad with long-term target Isak telling Newcastle that he wants to leave this summer for the Reds.<\/p>\n After making enquiries over the summer, Liverpool launched a \u00a3110m bid for Isak earlier this week, which was rejected by the reluctant Magpies, who are reportedly looking for \u00a3150m.<\/p>\n Ideally, Newcastle don\u2019t want to sell Isak at all and reports since have claimed that Liverpool will now walk away from a transfer this summer.<\/p>\n However, a report from Daily Mail journalist Craig Hope on Saturday<\/a> claimed that the Reds \u2018will bid again\u2019 and \u2018have not walked away\u2019 from Isak.<\/p>\n READ:\u00a0Twenty most valuable footballers in the world: Yamal, Mbappe rank high as Arsenal duo included<\/a><\/p>\n And Romano has backed that up to a degree with Liverpool know that Newcastle\u2019s tough stance is \u2018part of the game\u2019 they will play until nearer the end of the window.<\/p>\n Romano said on his\u00a0YouTube\u00a0channel<\/a>: \u201cLiverpool today presented their first official bid after the informal discussion they had more than two weeks ago with Newcastle for Alexander Isak.<\/p>\n \u201cThe answer from Newcastle to this proposal was no thanks. Full stop. Newcastle didn\u2019t say, \u2018this is the price\u2019. Newcastle didn\u2019t say, \u2018let\u2019s negotiate again next week\u2019. Newcastle didn\u2019t say, \u2018the player is untouchable\u2019. Newcastle said no. Offer rejected.
