Indiana Fever<\/a> superstar Caitlin Clark<\/a> was back on the hardwood on Sunday. This time around, however, she swapped a basketball for a microphone as NBC\u2019s special guest broadcaster<\/a> for an NBA<\/a> game.<\/p>\n

Clark provided pregame analysis for Sunday\u2019s matchup between the New York Knicks<\/a> and the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> at Paycom Center. This is the second NBC broadcast for Clark, who also took part in the pregame show in January during a Knicks-Lakers matchup at Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n

As Clark shared her insights on the game, the 24-year-old also took the opportunity to address the tremendous impact she\u2019s had on women\u2019s sports.<\/p>\n

Clark has been busy in the offseason. She recently made her senior debut for Team USA in the FIBA Women\u2019s World Cup Qualifying Tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was named the tournament\u2019s Most Valuable Player<\/a> after leading the national squad to a 5-0 record.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Clark spoke openly about how much she\u2019s changed not only women\u2019s basketball, but women\u2019s sports in general.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was never my goal to change women\u2019s sports,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI just showed up and I played and I loved every single second of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel a responsibility to show up and put a smile on everybody\u2019s face that buys a ticket.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clark\u2019s personal admission says a lot. According to the Fever star, it has never been her intention to be a trailblazer. However, she\u2019s doing everything she can to live up to the lofty expectations now that she\u2019s established herself as one of the top women\u2019s athletes in the world.<\/p>\n

During her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes in college, Clark set the all-time NCAA Division I scoring record<\/a> for both the women\u2019s and men\u2019s categories. She has also set a myriad of awe-inspiring records<\/a> in her two seasons in the WNBA<\/a>. Viewership has also increased significantly<\/a> since she entered the league.<\/p>\n

Now that she\u2019s back to full strength, Clark is looking to take things to a whole new level in Year 3. <\/p>\n
