Ahead of the WNBA free agency window, Caitlin Clark<\/a> teased what new roster additions the Indiana Fever will prioritize this offseason.<\/p>\n

The Fever have only three players under contract next season, including Clark, Aliyah Boston and Makayla Timpson. There will be more than 100 free agents following the new CBA.<\/p>\n

In her return to \u201cSunday Night Basketball\u201d on NBC Sports, Clark was asked about what\u2019s next for the Fever ahead of the 2026 league season.<\/p>\n

Although the two-time WNBA All-Star<\/a> knows that there are only a handful of players still under contract, she was still adamant about bringing back a veteran guard she had previously suited up on the court with.<\/p>\n

While speaking on \u201cSaturday Night Basketball,\u201d Caitlin Clark revealed that free agent Kelsey Mitchell is a priority for the Indiana Fever<\/a> to resign this offseason.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe weren\u2019t trying to win it all last, that\u2019s certainly what we\u2019re trying to do this year,\u201d Clark said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a very unique situation because there are over 100 free agents, so we only know about five or three people who will be on our team next year. I feel like we had a great core. Our first priority is to sign Kelsey Mitchell back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clark also gave additional context as to why bringing back Mitchell to the Fever makes sense for the team and her.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was First Team All-WNBA last year. Kind of my running mate in the backcourt. She makes it really easy for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the Fever superstar sidelined with injury which saw her play only 13 games last season, Kelsey Mitchell stepped up and led the injury-plagued Indiana Fever to the WNBA semifinals. They pushed the eventual WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces, to the brink in overtime in Game 5.<\/p>\n

Mitchell then finished fifth in WNBA MVP voting after averaging 20.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in the series.<\/p>\n
