Disney via Getty Images<\/p>\n In his Instagram comment, Gelman made a joke about Mandel looking good for his age, which is what the fight was about.<\/p>\n On last Monday\u2019s episode of \u201cLive with Kelly and Mark,\u201d Mandel reacted poorly to the couple congratulating him on turning 70.<\/p>\n \u201cThat doesn\u2019t mean anything,\u201d he said in response to Ripa and Consuelos\u2019 well-intentioned compliment about how he\u2019s aging.<\/p>\n Ripa, 55, then assured Mandel that the hosts were \u201cnot saying you look great for 70 [years old].\u201d Rather, \u201cWe\u2019re saying you look great and I don\u2019t believe you\u2019re 70.\u201d<\/p>\n On \u201cLive with Kelly and Mark\u201d last week, Mandel was offended when the hosts told him he looks great for 70. YouTube\/LiveKellyandMark<\/p>\n But Mandel doubled down on his argument against the couple.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, no. It\u2019s like saying you\u2019re smart for a stupid person,\u201d he explained, earning laughs from the audience. \u201c\u2018Oh, you seem smart, you seem smart,\u2019 you see, no, I don\u2019t look good.\u201d<\/p>\n When Consuelos, 55, reiterated that Mandel does \u201clook good,\u201d the \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent\u201d judge diffused the tense moment by agreeing he\u2019s \u201cgorgeous.\u201d<\/p>\n Mandel told Ripa and Consuelos (seen above) that their comment about how he looks for his age wasn\u2019t a compliment.
