With a busy spring scheduled for visits around the country, it was a short drive kind of weekend for Chandler (Ariz.) Basha<\/a> running back Noah Roberts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Roberts made the trek to nearby Tempe to check out Arizona State<\/a>, the hometown school that has him at the top of their board.<\/p>\n

He was able to take in the Sun Devils\u2019 spring practice, sit in on meetings and talk with the coaching staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe visit was good,\u201d said Roberts. \u201cI went to the practice and also went to meetings before practice.\u201d<\/p>\n

The meetings proved valuable for Roberts, with the time with running backs coach Shaun Aguano<\/a> moving the needle significantly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI spent most of my time with coach Aguano and a little bit with coach Dilly (Kenny Dillingham<\/a>),\u201d said Roberts. \u201cThe meetings went great. Coach Aguano is a great coach and I can tell he can develop running backs.\u201d<\/p>\n

That carried over into practice.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe backs looked great,\u201d said Roberts. \u201cThey did a little bit of everything, catching the ball and running the ball,\u201d said Roberts.<\/p>\n

Roberts said he sees how the running backs flourish in the Sun Devils offense. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe offense looks explosive as always as the offense is very running back friendly,\u201d said Roberts.<\/p>\n

More trips are looming for Roberts.<\/p>\n

He heads to\u00a0Miami<\/a>\u00a0on April 4 and then\u00a0Michigan<\/a>\u00a0on April 6, followed by\u00a0Notre Dame<\/a>\u00a0on April 18 and\u00a0Oregon<\/a>\u00a0on April 25.<\/p>\n
