Jenny McCarthy solved her medical mystery.<\/p>\n
Four months after describing a horrific illness<\/a> that had growths developing on the actress\u2019s eyes and her teeth falling out, she explained exactly what led to her symptoms on Maria Menounos\u2019 \u201cHeal Squad\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 53-year-old\u2019s troubles with severe mycotoxin poisoning and mold toxicity began when the root canal she had at 20 didn\u2019t get \u201ccleaned out all the way.\u201d<\/p>\n Jenny McCarthy described what led to her \u201cliving hell\u201d illness on Tuesday\u2019s \u201cHeal Squad\u201d podcast. Heal Squad\/Youtube<\/p>\n The actress (pictured above in January) had a root canal that didn\u2019t get cleaned \u201call the way.\u201d Getty Images<\/p>\n On Tuesday, McCarthy noted that she developed a jawbone infection due to \u201cthree \u2026 little toxic pools hiding underneath [her] wisdom teeth.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere was an infection left in there and a bone grafted on top of it, so I went on my merry way with infection brewing in my bone,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n Despite having multiple oral surgeries removing her teeth, McCarthy \u201cjust kept getting infected.\u201d<\/p>\n She told host Maria Menounos on Tuesday about having an infection \u201cbrewing in [her] bone\u201d for years.
