Hopefully we can get him back here soon. He certainly flashed when he was in there, but making the transition from being a quarterback to playing running back is two different things, especially at Ohio State.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Buckeyes, who are already without Bo Jackson and Isaiah West this spring as they recover from shoulder surgery, are now down to redshirt senior\u00a0Florida transfer Ja\u2019Kobi Jackson, redshirt freshman\u00a0Anthony \u201cTurbo\u201d Rogers, freshman four-star Favour Akih and walk-on Stanley Jackson Jr.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.elevenwarriors.com\/ohio-state-football\/2026\/03\/161834\/presser-bullets-ryan-day-says-austin-siereveld-and-phillip-daniels-remain-at-tackle-julian-sayin-s-legs-need-to-be-x-factor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Earlier this spring<\/a>, Day said he wanted to see Ohio State\u2019s running back room take the next step. As of Tuesday, he said that progress is still ongoing.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cThey\u2019re working. Looking to get better,\u201d Day said. \u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s gonna get solved in a week of practice. We got work to do there. They got to keep getting better.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tDay shared some details of what he\u2019s seen from Akih, Jackson and Rogers through six practices.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cFavour is learning (what it takes to play at Ohio State),\u201d Day said. \u201cJa\u2019Kobi has very good instincts and vision. Again, he\u2019s learning the offense, but he\u2019s shown the ability to really hit the hole the right way. He\u2019s working on playing with more power behind his pads. Turbo has had a much better offseason than he had the year before. He\u2019s getting better.
