A crash on Wednesday knocked out power for hundreds of people along Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. <\/p>\n
Duke Energy’s outage map showed 19 customers without power as of 4 a.m. The number affected dropped from 400 customers earlier this morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Most outages were restored by 5 a.m.<\/p>\n
Raleigh police responded to a driver who ran into a utility pole at Glenwood Avenue and E. Whitaker Mill Road, in the Five Points community.<\/p>\n
The crash closed the road where a pole was seen split in half and a car appeared seriously damaged on a sidewalk. Police say there were no serious injuries and the driver was not believed to be intoxicated.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Duke Energy crews were called to restore power for at least 400 people in the area impacted.<\/p>\n
