The \u201cAbout Damn Time\u201d chart-topper admitted that she didn\u2019t lose her virginity until her 30s \u2014 and spent years lying about it to save face as part of a promise she made when she was younger involving her first Grammy Award. <\/p>\n
\u201cI was a late bloomer. WireImage<\/p>\n Lizzo laughed it off, clarifying, \u201cIt was not the night of Grammys,\u201d but confirmed it happened soon after she picked up her first Grammy in 2020.<\/p>\n That night, she picked up three awards: Best Pop Solo Performance (\u201cTruth Hurts\u201d), Best Urban Contemporary Album (deluxe version of\u00a0\u201cCuz I Love You\u201d) and Best Traditional R&B Performance (\u201cJerome\u201d).<\/p>\n She was also nominated for Best New Artist, Record of the Year (\u201cTruth Hurts\u201d), Album of the Year (\u201cCuz I Love You\u201d deluxe), Song of the Year (\u201cTruth Hurts\u201d) and Best R&B Performance (\u201cExactly How I Feel\u201d).<\/p>\n The singer wanted to wait until she won a Grammy before losing her virginity. I was in a friend group of girls. We were all girling one night and it was like, \u2018Wait, Lizzo are you a virgin?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I remember being like, \u2018No!\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cI was remember it was so embarrassing. I said, \u2018I love the D\u2019 \u2026 And it held me over for a little while.\u201d<\/p>\n Lizzo has lost around 60 pounds and 16 percent of her body fat since 2023.
