A man has been arrested after police said he broke into a Spring Valley apartment on North Main Street and barricaded himself inside Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
Village police said they received a call about an attempted burglary in a first\u2011floor unit.<\/p>\n
Officers confronted the man, who then locked the doors and barricaded himself inside the apartment. The Rockland County REACT Team, the county\u2019s SWAT unit, was activated.<\/p>\n
Police said the SWAT team took the man into custody after a two\u2011hour standoff. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation.<\/p>\n
No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
