A month after the comedian sparked buzz with his \u201cunrecognizable\u201d appearance at the C\u00e9sar Awards, McCarthy defended him, assuring people that he was not \u201ccloned.\u201d <\/p>\n
When asked by People<\/a> at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2026<\/a> about the conspiracy theories that he had been \u201creplaced\u201d with a \u201cclone,\u201d she assured that she had no doubt \u201cit was definitely Jim Carrey\u201d at the French awards.<\/p>\n Instead, she simply focused on how happy he looked at the time.<\/p>\n Jenny McCarthy (seen here at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2026) defended ex Jim Carrey over his \u201cunrecognizable\u201d appearance. And I was happy for him,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cThat\u2019s the first thing I noticed. I said, \u2018Oh wow, Jim looks really happy.’\u201d<\/p>\n McCarthy\u2019s husband, Donnie Wahlberg, chimed in, noting, \u201cYou know, that\u2019s the part that, sadly, people miss. We\u2019re so obsessed with how he looks that we didn\u2019t consider how happy he looked.\u201d<\/p>\n McCarthy, 53, and Carrey dated from 2005 to 2010 before she moved on with the \u201cBlue Bloods\u201d actor, 56, in 2013.<\/p>\n In early March, the \u201cAce Ventura\u201d comedian, 64, sparked wild social media theories<\/a> when he looked unrecognizable at the C\u00e9sar Awards. <\/p>\n McCarthy (seen here in December 2025) noted she wasn\u2019t focused on his looks, but rather how happy he looked.
