Speaking with Screen Rant<\/a>, franchise producer Rae Sanchini suggested James Cameron\u2019s long-gestating remake of Fantastic Voyage is \u201cmoving forward\u201d and could see release before a fourth Avatar movie.<\/p>\n It could be. [Fantastic Voyage has] been long in the works and we are moving forward and can\u2019t announce anything, but we are in the works coming up in very early stages. That\u2019s been kind of a dream project of ours for some time. And then the Avatar films are a very long lead time process, so we\u2019re going to have to get started on those pretty soon as well. And then Jim\u2019s got another few things that he\u2019s always kicking around. Sure. A lot of original ideas.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Untitled Adam McKay Project <\/p>\n THR<\/a> reports Sony Pictures has picked up \u201can untitled sci-fi comedy\u201d from Don\u2019t Look Up director Adam McKay and Together writer Michael Shanks. Details on the plot are not available at this time.<\/p>\n Toy Story 5 <\/p>\n Ernie Hudson discussed taking over the role of Combat Carl from the late Carl Weathers in a new interview with Screen Rant<\/a>.<\/p>\n It was great to enter the franchise because I\u2019ve always been a fan of it and I\u2019ve always been disappointed that they never asked me to. And I had friends who was on it, Carl Weathers and Annie Potts and Tom Hanks and just a bunch of guys who I\u2019ve worked with over the years, but they didn\u2019t tell me that Combat Carl had been played by Carl Weathers. So when I went into the session, we did the first session and the fans heard about it and they told me. And I thought, \u2018Well, why didn\u2019t you\u2026\u2019 And I think they probably wanted me to sort of do my own thing without trying to emulate or repeat what he had done or something. I don\u2019t know. So hopefully the fans will like it, but Carl, he had been a friend for 40, 50 years. I\u2019ve known him for a long time, great guy, and I\u2019m honored to play the role, but what I came out of it with was just how it\u2019ll match up. You\u2019ll have to let me know.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Bloodthirsty <\/p>\n Elsewhere, a zombie outbreak ruins a couple\u2019s anniversary in the trailer for Bloodthirsty, coming to VOD this May 12.<\/p>\n One Piece <\/p>\n In a recent interview with THR<\/a>, One Piece showrunner Joe Tracz discussed the possibility of the series\u2019 future beyond the already-confirmed third season of the show.<\/p>\n I love the story. I would love to keep being able to tell the story. I think the bigger question is, will we get to keep telling the story? All of us here have the appetite to keep telling it. There are arcs we\u2019ll be sitting on set like, \u2018Wouldn\u2019t it be amazing to get to this moment? Wouldn\u2019t it be amazing during this arc?\u2019 That\u2019s really a question for people watching the show who can keep giving us a thumbs up.<\/p>\n Wytches <\/p>\n In response to a fan on Twitter, Scott Synder confirmed the pilot for the Wytches animated series at Amazon is now complete.<\/p>\n We just got our pilot back from the studio this week!
