The Xfinity Series points leader will compete in Saturday\u2019s Mission 200 at The Glen, before making his fourth Cup Series start of the year in Sunday\u2019s Go Bowling at The Glen. <\/p>\n<p>But that might not be it for Zilisch. There has been speculation he could run in Friday\u2019s Truck Series race at Watkins Glen as well. While it\u2019s common for drivers to pull double duty, doing the weekend triple is a bit rarer. Zilisch addressed the possibility of doing all three while speaking after Saturday\u2019s race at Iowa Speedway.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Connor Zilisch didn&#8217;t win his fourth consecutive Xfinity race but now has finished top-5 in the last 10 Xfinity races. How he views the last month as well as possibly doing the three national series races next week at Watkins Glen (he quite possibly will run a Niece truck). <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iBdzubolxC\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/iBdzubolxC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bob Pockrass (@bobpockrass) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bobpockrass\/status\/1952002765343048125?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">August 3, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat sounds like a blast,\u201d Zilisch told <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/bobpockrass\/status\/1952002765343048125\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports<\/a>. \u201cI love Watkins Glen. I would love to win all three, but I think that\u2019s a little outside my expectations. It would be a lot of laps and a lot of track time. I don\u2019t know the entire truck deal yet \u2014 I just drive, and I haven\u2019t heard too much. If I do get the opportunity to run the truck, that would pretty cool. Obviously, it\u2019s gonna be a long weekend if that\u2019s the case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pockrass said that Zilisch could run the Truck race for Niece Motorsports. Zilisch made six Truck starts last season but has zero under his belt in 2025. <\/p>\n<p>Connor Zilisch stays hot in Xfinity Series race at Iowa<\/p>\n<p>Zilisch, 19, is coming off a fourth-place finish in Saturday\u2019s race, his 10th consecutive top five result. In that time, he\u2019s won four races, including three in-a-row at Sonoma Raceway, Dover Motor Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. <\/p>\n<p>Zilisch cruised to his fifth stage win of the season in Stage 1 at Iowa, before a pit road miscue cost him some valuable track position. He raced his way back to the front, but ultimately, he was unable to get back to the lead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a long day, you know, we had that loose wheel at the end of Stage 1, which really hurt kind of our whole day,\u201d Zilisch said. \u201cWe struggled in dirty air. I think everybody did. It was tough to make passes. Once we got back up front and got some clean air, we were really fast. It just took too long to get up there, and then at the end, the restarts, you know, we couldn\u2019t get one to go our way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"This coming weekend at Watkins Glen International could be a busy one for Connor Zilisch.
