Kelly Ripa shared that when she put her retainer in at night, her husband, Mark Consuelos, knows they won\u2019t be having sex. <\/p>\n
The revelation came after the couple discussed the mating habits of koala bears<\/a> on \u201cLive with Kelly and Mark\u201d Wednesday, with Consuelos sharing that male koalas aren\u2019t bothered when female koalas aren\u2019t in the mood.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen they\u2019re mating, the koala goes in there and says, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m Mr. Koala, nice to meet you, Ms. Koala.\u2019 Sometimes they\u2019re not interested,\u201d Consuelos said. \u201cInstead of being heartbroken, they go back to sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n Ripa, 55, immediately quipped, \u201cIt\u2019s like you!\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos opened up about their sex life on Wednesday\u2019s episode of \u201cLive with Kelly and Mark.\u201d Disney via Getty Images<\/p>\n The couple \u2014 pictured here at the Oscars earlier this month \u2014talked about the mating habits of koalas, noting that male koala bears aren\u2019t bothered when female koala bears aren\u2019t interested. WireImage<\/p>\n The television personality then hilariously acted out her turning her back on Consuelos and popping her retainer in \u2014 which she said is a clear sign the two wouldn\u2019t be getting intimate that night.<\/p>\n \u201cHe hears the retainer pop in, it\u2019s like a chastity belt,\u201d she joked.<\/p>\n Consuelos, 55, agreed, making fun of the the loud sounds his wife makes when putting on her retainer. <\/p>\n \u201cWhen you put it in, it\u2019s like, click, click, click,\u201d he explained. \u201cAlright, guess I\u2019m going to bed.\u201d<\/p>\n He also cracked, \u201cI come to bed with my little eucalyptus leaf, and I\u2019m like, \u2018Hey, you want to fool around? No? Okay.’\u201d<\/p>\n Ripa said that was her husband\u2019s attitude as well, sharing that once she puts on her retainer for the night, it\u2019s a signal they\u2019re not going to have sex that night.
