His lawyer, Levi McCathern, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/01\/sports\/puka-nacua-checks-into-malibu-rehab-after-alleged-new-years-eve-bite\/?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_medium=social\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">confirmed the development<\/a> to Edward Lewis of the California Post.<\/p>\n<p>McCathern said the move wasn\u2019t a direct response to the lawsuit filed by a woman who claimed he bit her twice (and made an antisemitic remark) on New Year\u2019s Eve. He claimed, however, to the Post that \u201cthe combination of stories y\u2019all have run is certainly a contributing factor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was in there a substantial period of time before any of these allegations broke . . . and he\u2019s scheduled to be there for a while longer,\u201d McCathern told Lewis.<\/p>\n<p>McCathern said the goal is \u201cto improve his overall behavior in every aspect of his life that he can do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the New Year\u2019s Eve incident, a video later surfaced showing Nacua asleep (possibly passed out) in a vehicle. Previously, a video emerged of a stumbling Nacua on Super Bowl Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have talked to him,\u201d McCathern told Lewis, regarding Nacua. \u201cHe\u2019s in great spirits. I think he\u2019s doing absolutely fabulous. I\u2019m just really excited for how he\u2019s going to look next year. For as great as he was, I think he\u2019s going to be even better going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who takes steps to address issues that need to be addressed deserves credit. No problem anyone is dealing with can be solved until they recognize the problem exists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Rams receiver Puka Nacua has entered rehab.
