{"id":560169,"date":"2026-04-02T12:24:17","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T12:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/560169\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T12:24:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T12:24:17","slug":"carlie-irsay-gordon-looked-at-private-equity-investing-in-colts-no-plans-on-it-for-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/560169\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlie Irsay-Gordon looked at private equity investing in Colts, no plans on it for now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Colts are among the many NFL teams that have considered selling a share of the franchise to a private equity investor.<\/p>\n<p>But Colts owner and CEO Carlie Irsay-Gordon says she and her sisters, who inherited the team from their father Jim Irsay, aren\u2019t looking to sell any portion of the team right now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/48342632\/colts-carlie-irsay-gordon-open-private-equity-help-not-now\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">We certainly looked<\/a> at [private equity],\u201d Irsay-Gordon told ESPN. \u201cWe don\u2019t have any intention of doing it now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Irsay-Gordon hinted that could change, if the Colts decide they need the money to improve Lucas Oil Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a beautiful building that has amazing bones, but we\u2019re going to need to renovate it,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s already almost 20 years old. It\u2019s insane. But a lot\u2019s changed since then. . . . I think it\u2019s a good thing to be able to have another avenue to diversify your business, get some source of funding if you want to renovate.
