Exiled NBA ex-first round pick Jaden Ivey\u2019s wife, Caitlyn, disputed her husband\u2019s \u201clie\u201d that she is not talking to him during the fallout from his shocking Bulls release Monday after he made anti-LGBTQ <\/a>and anti-Catholicism comments the franchise deemed \u201cconduct detrimental to the team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Caitlyn offered her retort Wednesday on her Instagram Story with a screenshot featuring the couple and their three children, headlined with \u201cShe only wanted you because you were in the NBA.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were communicating all morning of that day,\u201d Caitlyn said in response to her husband\u2019s claim on a March 31 livestream that \u201cshe not even texting me<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople say things for attention, do not be deceived.\u201d<\/p>\n

Caitlyn also shared hateful messages she\u2019s allegedly received from fans after Jaden\u2019s comments, ranging from \u201cyour life a f\u2013king lie\u201d to \u201cyou\u2019re a s\u2013t wife.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThese DM\u2019s (and many more) over one lie spoke on my name,\u201d she wrote on her Story.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you know me you know I have never abandoned that man through all the trials.. and I still haven\u2019t now. There is obviously a lot more going on, so leave your conspiracies and guesses to yourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jaden and Caitlyn both attended Purdue and got engaged in 2022<\/a>, and it\u2019s unclear when they tied the knot. They share three children: 3-year-old Noah, 2-year-old Shiloh and 1-year-old Isaiah.<\/p>\n

Their worlds got flipped upside down over the past week after Jaden went on several religious rants, notably calling out the NBA for supporting Pride Month and labeling Catholicism a \u201cfalse religion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe world can proclaim LGBTQ, right?\u201d\u00a0Jaden said<\/a> during a lengthy video he posted to Instagram recently. \u201cThey proclaim Pride Month and the NBA. They proclaim it. They show it to the world. They say, \u2018come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.\u2019 They proclaim it. They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim it in the streets. Unrighteousness. So how is it that one can\u2019t speak righteousness? How are they to say that this man is crazy?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bulls, who acquired Jaden from the Pistons earlier this year, waived the former No. 5 pick, and he responded by calling them \u201cliars.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

In the aftermath of his release, Jaden brought his wife into the mix by claiming she was watching him on a live stream while ignoring him otherwise.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose who are around me, those who are my family members betraying because of what I spoke. The truth. Betraying me. Saying that I\u2019m losing my mind. Saying that I\u2019m crazy. These are my own family members, my blood. \u2018Man, he\u2019s psycho. He\u2019s this, he\u2019s that.\u2019 Those are my own household,\u201d Jaden said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As Caitlyn has refuted Jaden\u2019s claim, he has continued to post selfie videos to Instagram with religious undertones, including an appearance on the \u201cPinPoint Podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n

He told the podcast that the injuries he\u2019s battled during his career led him to contemplate suicide, but he relied on his faith, according to US Magazine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve almost committed suicide multiple times,\u201d he said, per the outlet. \u201cAnd I\u2019m not ashamed to say it. I\u2019m not ashamed because God was merciful to keep me here. I had (oxycodone) pills in my hand. And my wife was telling me, \u2018Don\u2019t do this. Don\u2019t go down this road.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI get surgery, I\u2019m rehabbing, right? And I\u2019m under this false doctrine of once saved, always saved. That you\u2019re righteous, but it doesn\u2019t matter if you sin, it can\u2019t touch your soul\u2026And so I still had no peace, and I went back and \u2026 during that time, I had my two children, and I was back in the world, back in the world again, trying to figure out what, what, what is the truth?\u201d<\/p>\n
