The news began to circulate yesterday, but it does not appear to be an April Fools prank. According to the Maryland Judiciary website, Ebert, 33, is in custody and charged with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault. A warrant was issued on Monday and served on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Right now, there are no reputable reports about Ebert’s alleged target or about the incident that led to his arrest. His bail\/bond review is scheduled for this afternoon.<\/p>\n
Ebert grew up in suburban Maryland with Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates, and they formed Turnstile together in 2010. The circumstances of Ebert’s departure from the band remain mysterious; the band won’t talk about it publicly.
