OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha metro drivers faced a soggy Thursday morning commute with potential for slick conditions.<\/p>\n

Numerous crashes were reported during rounds of rain and storms<\/a> in the metro. At about 6:30 a.m., there was a crash on westbound I-80 near 42nd Street.<\/p>\n

There were delays on Dodge after a crash shortly before 7 a.m. near 132nd Street.<\/p>\n

Shortly after 7:15 a.m., a crash on southbound JFK near Q Street partially blocked the left lane. Drivers were forced to stay right and face slow travel.<\/p>\n

Near the end of the 7 o\u2019clock hour, westbound Dodge had a crash between 120th and 132nd. It resulted in heavy delays along the elevated expressway back to I-680. <\/p>\n

Eastbound Dodge also had a crash blocking the left lane near 156th at that time. Drivers were advised to consider an alternate route such as Blondo or Pacific.<\/p>\n

Jaret Lansford writes in the First Alert 6 Traffic blog<\/a> that as of 8:30 a.m., all crashes on Dodge, JFK, and I-80 were cleared.<\/p>\n

Lastly, at the tail end of the morning commute, there was a crash on westbound I-80 at the I-480 interchange. It happened at about 8:45 a.m. and caused the left lane to be blocked.<\/p>\n

Lansford warned drivers to use caution Thursday morning at intersections, on ramps and curves. He says that travel was the worst from about 6:30 to 8 a.m., which lined up pretty well with the heaviest rain in the commute.<\/p>\n
