\n\tAs Milly Alcock<\/a> gets her solo DCU debut, the Supergirl<\/a> star is flying solo with her portrayal of Kara Zor-El.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actress recently explained why she didn\u2019t seek advice from peers who previously portrayed the Girl of Steel, including Supergirl (2015-\u201921) star Melissa Benoist<\/a> and The Flash (2023) actress Sasha Calle<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThey\u2019re just people living their lives,\u201d explained Alcock to Vanity Fair<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s not like we have this blood bond.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing her starring role alongside Julianne Moore in last year\u2019s Sirens on Netflix, Alcock noted that she didn\u2019t bother the Oscar winner with questions either. \u201cYou have to respect that they don\u2019t owe you that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\tMeanwhile, joining the Game of Thrones franchise as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen on House of the Dragon has prepared her for taking on the DCU fandom.<\/p>\n
