Michigan point guard Elliot Cadeau<\/a> arrived in Indianapolis this morning, a day after his teammates made the trip, after suffering an allergic reaction yesterday. The U-M point guard confirmed that the doctors had cleared him for 100 percent participation following a scare.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything\u2019s good,\u201d Cadeau said. \u201cI ate something I was allergic to \u2026 it was a little scary because I\u2019ve had a reaction like that before in my life. It was bad. That\u2019s why I went to the hospital so quickly, because I was scared it would be bad, but it wasn\u2019t as bad as I thought it was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cadeau is allergic to cashews, and he accidentally ate some that was on the salmon he had for lunch. His last experience, in fifth grade, resulted in a much worse reaction, so they didn\u2019t take any chances in taking him off the bus and by ambulance to the hospital after he started to break out in hives.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust relief,\u201d he said when asked to describe the experience. \u201cI was good the whole time. I felt like it wasn\u2019t as dramatic as it seemed. I was chilling the whole time. I never felt nervous about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now that he\u2019s here, he\u2019s concentrating on helping lead his team to a national title. The Wolverines will face Arizona with big point guard Jaden Bradley<\/a> Saturday. If they win, they\u2019ll take on the winner of UConn and Illinois.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt means everything. I take pride in winning, a lot,\u201d Cadeau said of U-M\u2019s season to date. \u201cTo be on the biggest stage, to be able to win this much and get to the Final Four is a great accomplishment for me and my teammates.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c[Bradley] is Big 12 player of the year, really good. I\u2019m just blessed to be able to go against people like that, play against him. I definitely always look forward to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michigan head coach Dusty May<\/a>, meanwhile, is just happy to have Cadeau back and healthy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very unfortunate for him to have to go through that,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re blessed he\u2019s okay. It shows how much he means to his teammates \u2026 they were very concerned, like we all would be.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re grateful that he\u2019s fine. The dude\u2019s a warrior.
